Emily Palmer is an experienced associate attorney focusing on defending individuals accused of crimes, including DUII, out of the firm’s Salem office. Prior to joining Gilroy Napoli Short, Emily spent four years as a Deputy District Attorney in Marion County, Oregon, where she prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases working with the Street Crimes Task Force focusing on complex drug crimes. She also previously worked for the United States Attorney’s Office in Portland, Oregon. Emily is able to use her combined experience and familiarity with criminal law to advocate for her clients and assist them in navigating the justice system.
Background
Emily is a graduate of the University of Oregon where she majored in International Studies with a focus on International Development. Prior to receiving her Juris Doctor degree from Willamette University, Emily travelled extensively with various international study and service programs. She has a passionate interest in human trafficking and has spoken statewide on the topic.
When she is not working, Emily enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling and watching Oregon Duck football
