Robert Montgomery is an associate attorney working out of the firm’s Salem office. He started his career in the public defender’s office in the Salem courts. As a result of that work, he has helped hundreds of clients navigate Oregon’s criminal justice system. His work focuses primarily on DUII defense. He has successfully defended clients in all types of criminal matters ranging from C-level misdemeanors to A-level felonies. Prior to his work as an attorney, he founded 2 companies and served in the military. His previous work outside of the legal field has proved valuable in his approach to criminal matters.
Robert graduated from the University of Utah in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. After college, he started a manufacturing company with operations in Taiwan. He attended law school with the intent to focus on business law. However, after a class in Criminal Procedure, he fell in love with defense work and has been in the courtroom ever since. He graduated with his Juris Doctorate and MBA from Willamette University in 2015.
When not in the office he is teaching his kids how to fly fish on the Metolius River in central Oregon.
