About Jenna


Jenna Richards is a criminal defense attorney with a legal and academic career dedicated to advocating for those involved in the criminal justice system. She has experience representing clients in cases ranging from violations and misdemeanors to complex felonies and Measure 11 charges. Prior to joining Gilroy Napoli Short, Jenna worked as a criminal defense attorney predominately in Washington County. In that role, she managed both a court-appointed and retained caseload and worked in the county’s “Early Case Resolution (ECR)” docket. Jenna has considerable courtroom experience and has appeared in criminal courts throughout Oregon. Jenna represents each individual with a compassionate and collaborative approach and works toward the best outcome in each unique case.

Background

Jenna earned her Juris Doctorate from Lewis & Clark Law School, graduating in the top 10% of her class, and graduated Summa cum Laude from Pacific University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, Law & Society. Throughout her undergraduate and law school career, Jenna volunteered and interned at the Washington County Juvenile Department, the Metropolitan Public Defender’s Office, and the Oregon Innocence Project.

When not in the office, you can find Jenna spending time with her loved ones, cooking, and enjoying the outdoors. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Jenna enjoys visiting home and rooting for her favorite local teams, particularly the San Jose Sharks.
